James H. Ledman, the administrative partner for Isaac, Brant, Ledman & Teetor, has been a trial lawyer since 1965. Today, he devotes much of his time to insurance cases.
Since 1990, Jim has authored more than 100 formal opinions on insurance coverage questions and has both prosecuted and defended lawsuits seeking declaratory judgment of rights and duties of insureds and insurers under liability insurance policies.
Jim has served as sole arbitrator in the United States, Australia and New Zealand for more than 150 claims against the Dalkon Shield Claimant's Trust under the control of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Richmond, Virginia.
In addition to his insurance coverage experience, Jim has successfully represented taxpayers in numerous Ohio taxation cases, including Chemetron Corp. v. Limbach (1987), Highlights for Children, Inc. v. Lindley (1985), PPG Industries, Inc. v. Koysdar (1981), and Gulf Oil Corp. v. Koysdar (1975).
Jim earned his bachelor's degree from Duke University (B.A., 1961) and his law degree from The Ohio State University (J.D., 1965).
